Our Target Focus
Geography
We target investments in companies headquartered in the US (particularly in California's Silicon Valley) and in Europe (particularly in the UK).
Sectors/Investment Thesis
We are focused on companies in the technology and telecommunications sectors.
We look for companies that target growing market opportunities, that have attractive technology and that need to need to implement strategic growth initiatives to achieve sustainable scale. We also consider companies that are looking for capital investment to realign business models around unique selling propositions or defensible customer positions. We are particularly focused on companies with opportunities to accelerate revenue growth and improve profitability. We are willing to consider "turnaround" situations if the company has an attractive technology portfolio.
Management
We invest in companies with strong management teams that are willing to build for the long term and invest with us. We are prepared to help strengthen management teams by drawing on our deep networks of relationships in the technology and telecommunications sectors.
Transaction Structure
We acquire control positions in portfolio companies, but in certain circumstances we may be willing to consider non-controlling positions. We will be flexible and creative with respect to structuring a transaction. We will seek to closely align the interests of management and investors.
Investment Process
For each investment opportunity, we undertake a comprehensive due diligence assessment of the company's business, technology, market position and growth opportunities. We will work closely with management to develop a strategic plan and budget and will seek to identify key growth initiatives. For each investment opportunity, we will dedicate the necessary resources in order to determine, with the least possible disruption to the company, whether an acceptable transaction can be effected. With the cooperation of management, we can take a target investment opportunity through due diligence and transaction structuring to a funded acquisition in a matter of a few months.
